help us save CCC

The last week has seen bulldozed claer cut straight thru the heart of our trails system. The core group of trail users are trying, with JORBA's help, to see if we can preserve our trail system. Please visit the link below:

Add youself to our open group, updates will be added as they come in. It's a great little park worth saving. Any help would be appreciated.

We had our 1st formal meeting with college officals today. There are no current plans to develop the area in question, other than putting in the road. There's an area that they want to have access to for possible future development, but no plans past the road at this point. They are very receptive to working with us on preserving the woods and trails, and the groundwork is being laid to set up a Clean Up Day after the construction is done. In the meantime enjoy the trails and be respectful of the workers.....we'll pass on more info as it becomes available. Overall, today's meeting went about as well as possible. Things are looking good :) — with Rob Hess and James Toton.

Rode at CCC last night for the first time since the road was constructed. It looks much worse in person than it does in the pics I've seen.

It looked worse when they 1st did the clear cut for the road. I felt awful when I 1st saw it. Just glad most of the trails are intact.

OH NO!

Which part did we loose?

I used to ride there once a week when i lived down there, and was planning to hit it up next weekend because I was going to be in AC...

You can still ride all the trails except Cambodia, there's just road construction going thru 1 section. The trails are in really good shape, you just have to link them a bit differently.

Mike, any pics of the damage? I can get the Facebook page to work...

here you go, it looks better now, the 1st pic shows the construction area in red. the last pic shows where the trails intersect.
