I mailed in my Strava proof of riding at least one hour every day in July. 52 Hours total.
I asked that my prize $100 be donated to JORBA. Thanks JORBA for all your hard work and thanks Halters for the challenge.
And thanks to all that participated and made it a fun event to read every day.

Kingdom Trails Day 2 - Day 35 consecutive. Holy cow it's humid up here, but I understand it's worse at home.

Stopped at the trail cafe.

Kingdom Trails Day 3 - a two part ride. Day 36 consecutive.

First two of us did a ride in the early afternoon starting and ending at the trail center. Then we added one more and did a shuttled run from the top of the toll road that goes to the top of Burke Mtn, taking the DH Trail all the way down and ending with Burnham Down.

Got really lucky with the weather. It rained overnight and into the morning, but the trails were pretty dry. Even the trails with bridges weren't bad.

Somehow we managed to get the 6th fastest time down Dead Moose Alley + Dead Moose Abuse out of 711. And we stopped a couple of times...

In all, a great day of riding when we thought it was going to be a total wash out. We are now sitting on the deck, marveling at a super clear moonless sky. Planets, satellites and the Milky Way.

Kingdom Trails Day 4 - day 37 consecutive. Final entry. We had a great final ride on Sunday before packing up to drive home on Monday (to avoid normal vacation traffic heading south).

It was actually a bit surprising how few riders are on the trails on a Sunday afternoon. We assumed anyone getting a last ride in did so early before leaving. Since we didn't have the same time limit, we were treated to very little trail traffic. One benefit was absolutely bombing down Vast towards the end of the ride.

Today, no riding. My legs need a break. But it looks like I'm heading back to Portsmouth on Wednesday or Thursday, so I may stay over for the weekend and do some road riding and another Highland trip.

Congratulations to all who finished and especially to you nuts still going! 37 days straight was my goal and I am happy to have completed it.

Got it! Nice gesture. I’m sure others might follow suit.

Day 39 - Yawn & Roll

Didn't home until 9pm wiped out from a long day. I thought to myself "this is it, the streak is over. But by 10pm I was yawning & rolling, literally.
Rolled around town with bare minimum effort as I have another long day of work tomorrow. Made a few wrong turns not realizing where I was as I dozed off .
I knew this week would be tough to get through and it's proven to be true. After this week the rest of the month should be reasonably doable.

Day 43: Port Jervis preride. It was better this year with less snakes. It’s very wet from the storms last night but not muddy if that makes sense. Oh and I hit up the Port Jervis Brick Oven Pizza place on the way out and it was delicious!
