So I got 13 in. Quick ride at Mercer
Then Friday the 13th showed me what it’s all about. On fridays we play volleyball with my daughters, friend’s parents. I got set up and was going to tip one over the net when dude man on the other team gets crazy and runs right into me. Knee to knee. He was about 240 and I’m 165. I lost. Fractured tibial plateau. Surgery tomorrow after meeting with the surgeon today. Going to be atleast 12 weeks out.

This has been an amazing challenge to take part in and I will definitely be trying it again next year. Best of luck to everyone doing it

Day 14 - I took it “easy” at LewMo. 20th consecutive day of riding plus an abnormally tough work schedule recently has got me exhausted... so I’m very thankful for the motivation this challenge has given me. I’m starting to feel like I’m actually getting back in decent shape after a poor start to the season.

Day 14 - slept in a little following Goverment Mules Show last night. Took the dogs for a walk and watched another disappointing England effort to close out their World Cup. My local ride mate canceled so I headed to Six Mile. Sitting by pool now with a cold one and my Elmore Leonard book. Reading a lot of his stuff this summer. I guess I’m old school since I’m still getting books from the library.

Day 14 Sugarbush Mountain and I’m starting to feel like a truck hit me. We prerode the race course today which had two segments that are beyond my comfort zone. It’s defintely the most technical place we hit on our little mini DH trip. I’m not sure how hot it is down in N.J. but 62 degrees at 10am up here today! Actually felt cold. Because of the race tomorrow the lift lines were loooong.

Had a lot of quit in me this morning, another 4am alarm almost did me in. I laid in bed for a few and contemplated my other options for the day, which were ride at 9pm or pull the kid around in the trailer for an hour. With the rain in the forecast neither of those options sounded ideal.
