Things finally aligned for me to check out the goods at Sterling.
The hype is real.

Ran into Tom (@Bleeder) in the caretakers lot, asked him which is the better direction. That's like asking a parent which is their favorite kid I guess. He said it's great either way.

This was good, because I set off intending to do it CW, but missed the first turn, so it'll be CCW today!

Amazing stuff. Just amazing the planning and execution on these trails.

Seems like it would ride pretty well either direction, but any regulars want to chime in on their preferred lot/direction?

So when I'm going up a hill, and go to downshift, but I'm already in the lowest gear, I make a "click" sound so my legs think they just got a couple more teeth in the rear gear.
Please don't tell them I do this.

So I'm out. I spent all night in the ER, unable to breathe with only minimal improvement. Fourth time this year. So I'm not going to be riding again anytime soon. Yea.
Sorry to hear this. Sounds awful.
Hope the specialist can help you solve it.

So day 12 was a great day. I wrestled with whether or not to go to Six Mile Run or just ride local since I took the day off. I am so glad I made the trip over to 6MR. Few things are better that a dry, mid-week ride at Six Mile and today did not disappoint. Overall I had a great day on the bike and I even managed to clean all 3 of the nasty, rooty climbs on red shred bread. That was a first for me. I was so stoked!

12-? Started 15-20 min before usual and I was rewarded with finding another (unknown to me) hidden paved path... this one passes by a game path into the mostly deserted park/woods. Hmmm might need to do this again with an off-road bike and do some Real explore’n. ;)

Day 12 Killington, or at least the part of the mountain that was open (half was closed due to blasting). We rode all day. Pretty gnarly. Wish the whole mtb was open. It’s good enough to make the trip back

up again some day to see the rest of it. Three lifts were open. Two lifts plus the gondola were running. All three were relatively quick and easy. Beautiful day!!!

Day 12.
Had a Dr appointment his morning at SMG, so I WFH'd for the rest of the day. Hit the @FunkFreshington Thursday ride from Hb Madison. He says it's a C ride with B tendencies. Fairly accurate.
Just under two hours, and about 31 miles including ride to/from shop.

Still in it... Day 12 and we finally busted the road bikes out to ride the road instead of every other bike we have. Nice loop for 1:19. No photos because we were burning daylight and finished in the dark.... again.

Sorry to hear this. I hope you figure it out with the docs and get it under control.
