IMG_6665.JPGThis is the stuff that kills one spirit .IMG_6661.JPGThis is from Mother Nature. I can deal with her. IMG_6662.JPGThis is from a mother f**K'R. It's hard on the old man. Bottom line, when the 7 miles of the ridge trail(Carranza Rd. to the Batsto trails) are cleaned up, and stay that way. Then the Wharton 40 will be posted.

MARS has done this ride from Black Run(Kings Grant 2), and the Brendan T Byrne. We have come across our share of hunters, but never an issue. Always looking for something new to do, I'm thinking maybe a sand road ride in Wharton. Leaving from Franklin Parker, going to, Apple Pie Hill, Speedwell, Eagle, Friendship, Hawkins Bridge. It would be like a Jersey Gravel Fat Bike Ride. BTW, the Wharton 40 started it's life during the winter months. No fat bike riders back then, so we wanted the sand to be at it's firmest. It will return again Jan. or Feb., 2019, for the 11th time.

Just got back from a dry(wet) run(ride). 3.5 hours, 25 miles, really only one bad spot near Hawkins Bridge.20180201_202257.JPG20180201_202253.JPG We can do this.

Nothing official, but we did about 25 miles, road Apple Pie Hill, Eagle, Hawkins Bridge, Friendship, Speedwell, and the Franklin Parker Preserve. No beaches, but we road around, and through the Wadding River, and some of it's tributary's. No rail trail, but we road along side of the once infamous Blue Comet. 20180208_201306.JPG20180208_201714.JPG20180208_221136.JPGBComet-03.jpg
