Ready to add some serious adventure to your summer? Join Marty's Reliable Cycle of Hackettstown for a Bikepacking Weekend! An incredibly scenic, rugged route through some of the best countryside and natural areas the region has to offer.
140mi - 70mi each day. Rain and/or shine!
Leaving from Marty's Reliable Cycle 251 Main St. Hackettstown, NJ Saturday July 15th 8am
Camping at Promised Land State Park Saturday Night, Returning to Hackettstown Sunday evening July 16th
Registration - fee includes 2 day guided bike packing tour, light mechanical support, campsite, endless photo opportunities and priceless bonding with fellow adventure-loving cyclists! No SAG support.
Route consists of 70% pavement (some more maintained than others), 20% dirt/gravel road, 10% woods road/light singletrack. Cyclocross or gravel bike is the best choice. Disc brakes are helpful. Plus tire or mountain bikes will slay the woods but may be less than enjoyable on the roads. 700x32c tire minimum recommended (although intrepid and determined riders have completed this route with 25c slicks)
