Fat Biking in Quebec

Ran across this article while I was up in the Great White North last week. Figured I would take some pics and pass them along.

Winter is just as much of an outdoor season as summer up there. If you love doing things in the snow it's a great winter getaway. I was really impressed at the 55 km of fat bike trails up in Tremblant. That's just 1 of 9 spots on the map there.

How was the riding this summer? I might make a trip up there on the way to Bar Harbor this summer.

I wouldn't make the trip to Tremblant because it's out of the way. But I'd consider a loop that included 1-2 days at Vale Bras du Nord then a stop in QC (which is awesome) then heading to Maine from there.

Main problem is QC to Maine. There's no good route through there so you'd end up driving 6-7 to cover 250 miles according to Google. QC is 550 miles from here but you're on major highway the whole time.

If you're considering this let me know and I'll give you as much Canada/Montreal/QC info as I can. Great sounding trip but it really depends how much time you have and how much you're willing to drive.

I've had a trip to Montreal and QC in my list for a long time. I'm thinking beginning of August though. Will hit you up when we get closer to the summer.

@Frank

Got an email today from the Tremblant trail users, advertising fat bike info:

Trails & conditions:

The D1 on the map is part of that ~20,000+ km network that runs all through Canada. You could actually ride to Montreal or Toronto if you felt so inclined.

Thanks Norm!
Not sure if I will have the time, or energy, to ride....I will be a skier next week!!
