"Easy" bike path ride near Denver?

I'll be in Denver(Lakewood) for a couple couple days in October. Are there some decent bike paths within 20 miles? I'm going to trail ride a bit but want to do a nice ride with the wife. She's not trail ready yet.

Literally all over Denver and local areas there is easy stuff. There are bike lanes on mostly all roads.

Agree with @Flaubert. Check out the Cherry Creek bike path.

If you can get out to the Betasso preserve in Boulder, that's some great trail riding..

They can't build a development unless they add X amount of bike trails. It's a requirement that should be standard throughout the country.
