it would make a nice media type @gtluke, @soundz

i'm not sure the pattern with the 's' is always the same, and i'm not sure they can do second level replace (the node starting with 4x)

Hmm, the first should have worked.

You can insert an image with the raw=1 and it should work fine. The first link I provided is the link as copied from Dropbox, so you need to manually edit (I admit, I'm being super lazy here) the link each time.

So essentially the Dropbox media type just need to be an image insert with a replace on the last part of the link

it must be a transient link ? cause it wasn't broken yesterday...
trying again with the raw=1, rather than the redirected link. let's see if it survives.
