DH 150 hubs

I have a DH hub in the parts bin and wondered whether to donate it or maybe use it some day to build a boost 148 wheel. Some quick reading have some folks saying won't work, not because of the width but some other factors which are not clear. Anyone here know why a 150mm hub won't work?

The only thing I can think of might be the disc mount and the relation to the caliper mount on the frame. There is some wiggle room there, but usually not much. Bolt a disc and cassette on and see how it fits (assuming you have a Boost frame already).

It won't work because of some other factors that aren't quite clear.
