Do they hire hunters or is it a public lottery to join the hunt?

Every single day I see a new deer carcass on the road. The deer population has exploded in the last decade. My town hasn’t seen a significant uptick in building/land loss and my area specifically had only had one for one replacement, yet the deer are friggen everywhere now. It’s not even night/twilight times.....mid-day!!! No fear whatsoever.

Don't know Bridgewater's policy but in our town they make money - charge $100 per permit for local hunters to whack deer. Can also take a coyote if they see one (and in state regulation season).
