Deer Hunting Alert At Tourne (winter) !!!

Friends and Adopters at Tourne County Park ,

Please note below is the schedule for deer hunting at Tourne:

Tuesdays 1/9, 16,23,30 and 2/6.

This year they have changed the time—hunters are to be “out by noon” instead of 11am as it was last year.

Also there is no bow hunting at Tourne, only the Permit shotgun dates listed above.

The park will be closed for the shotgun dates. Signs will be well posted when the park is closed.

A reminder if you hear or see any ATV activity, please call the park police at #973-326-7654 asap, and mention this on your trail report.

With all this rain I’m predicting a bright array of fall foliage. It’s usually particularly spectacular at the Tourne.

I'm glad they're doing this in the dead of winter. Didn't it used to be in the fall? I remember signs warning of deer hunting at the Tourne when I was still riding and I don't ride in the winter usually.
