Also if I encounter a group of riders whipping around the trails dressed like they are prepping for the Tour De France, is it safe to catch up to them and attempt to communicate with a tenuous grasp of Italian?

Anything in the world can be explained by google...well not completely everything, just stuff that people say on MTBNJ. The fact of the matter is very few people are capable of using original material to be funny, myself included. So, whenever someone says something here that you don't understand go to google and type in the term that baffles you and you will usually find the answer. If that doesn't work, seek me out and I will explain jokes to you...I get jokes. For your homework, research little people and carnies in the same sentence on google and report back to me what you find.

Why don't women post? Maybe they're too busy playing Donna Reed. Oh wait, you really want help here. Ok then. I very much have a guy mentality when it comes to many things so maybe I am the wrong person to ask, but I'll give you some answers anyway.

I've been on mtbnj for years and I have to admit, I almost never ever, browse the women's forum. I know what the intent is and it's a great place to make women feel welcome, but since it's so inactive, I kind of feel like there's no reason to go there. I understand your whole point is "how do we get the forum more active" (or women posting on mtbnj in general), but I just wanted to tell you my reason for staying out of there. When I'm not on here it's cause life takes over, but I love posting a lot and goofing with everyone. I have a really warped sense of humor and was largely molded by my brother who got me into mountain biking so to me, this place is just like home. Awwww, right????

So why so few women posting? Maybe they're intimidated. I know, I know...people are really laid back and welcoming here, but still, women can be intimdated no matter what. I know I used to and sometimes still do feel intimidated. I think moreso though they just don't care. Maybe some are not into biking enough to get wrapped up on here. And those that are hardcore don't eat, sleep, and breathe bikes necessarily. A LOT of guys who bike tend to dream about bikes all day, talk about trails all day, research bike parts all day, fantasize about their next frame all day... It monopolizes your world, so being here is just part of life like brushing your teeth. So what we need to do is somehow make being on here part of a woman's daily ritual like brushing their teeth???

I'd say let's do a poll, but how do we get them on here to participate?

I do admit to being tardy in the follow up of following other peeps. This morning I did start looking at people I want to follow. When I go to their page, if I see a bunch of bike pics or family stuff I move on...as I discussed in my Iggythread I am looking for something different on Instagram. As I have stated I enjoy selfies, bike pics, family stuff however there is plenty of that in other media. If people get pissed off that I don't follow them they can drop me, it won't hurt my feelings...I just want to see different things.

Yeah looking at women on the Internet portrays women as sexual beings which is wrong also its just a reminder of more hot vaginas that I'm not getting

Gee, I wonder why women don't post here. They don't realize they're missing talk about viginas (hot vaginas, that is ) and porn. Hahaha!
