Anyone know what this is? My son hikes there frequently and took these a few hours ago. Looks like some kind of mineral

Ride from Cushetunk lot out to Puke Hill and back

Worse part is the few hundred feet from parking lot to trailhead. Trails were fine. Camp road had puddles and running water but otherwise fine.

A few trees down. I tried to mark on TF but not sure if it worked.

Two on red ridge after puke hill climb (coming back to lot). It seems like one was worked on.

I was there too today (did I pass you by the mud pond?), the trails on Cush were in great shape except for the trees noted, and the grassy sections were a bit muddy, but great for most of the trail. Still can’t beat my PR from two years ago on the RV full climb Strava segment

I’ve taken to riding this place on the ebike mainly. If you have a chance to ebike here, it makes this place super fun. There has been noteworthy trail work done here in the last year. It seems very resilient to wet weather with the exception of the long fall line trail at the western side of the park. This particular trail is screaming for turns and grade reversals as it’s clearly a river when it rains. This isn’t a huge fix, and I’d be glad to help.

There are a few very steep climbs which is the main reason this park isn’t more used IMO. Some of them might have possible switchback options with some major work, but since I’m commited to riding here on the ebike it’s not an issue.

I rode here a lot in the 90’s and always feels good to come back here. The views in the winter are particularly impressive.

All clear except for a tree I didn't finish when making a right at the first 3-way from there lot.

There is water on the white climb where the water bar rotted out. We will need to get the water off the trail one of these days. Grade reversal?
