Just a heads up, I spotted two rather large black bears yesterday while riding Lewis Morris. I was descending the red trail just down from the Tempe Wick parking lot when I thought I saw some movement in the woods off to my right. They were both about 50 feet off the trail. They did not seem to mind me passing through, but I made it up to the yellow trail pretty quickly. A father and son hiking with their dog spotted them as well.

I mean we do live in a state with one of the highest densities of black bears and do very little to control the population. I'm sure there are bears pretty close to you on every ride.
I saw a huge one by sunset beach a little while back. It's always a little scary! I came around one side of the building by the beach and we scared the shit out of each other. I did a quick turnaround and went back to my car.
Every time I see a bear, the next few rides, i feel like every stump is a bear!

There was a momma and 2 or 3 cubs hanging out between the new orange and green trail along the creek the other day too.
