Just installed a 10spd Deore clutch RD on the SL and the chain is jumping off the lower jockey wheel when in small to small. I know I shouldn't cross chain but its bothering me nonetheless... I did keep the chain a bit long... wonder if this is the problem.

I am putting on parts so that the engine doesn't have to work so hard. lol
Talon is 1x10 with 32t up front and 11-42 cassette
SL is 2x10 with 24t & 32t up front and 11-36 cassette

For the chain length.... chain off of the RD and wrap around big to big and add 2 links... but I added another 2 more this time around.

Also noticed that the SLX clutch is broken. Ordered the replacement part.

Frame is still only 70% stripped but....

I think it will turn out to be a cool little bike.

Just needs a bleed since I trimmed the hose

Just installed the same brakes on new build. You may not need to bleed if you do it carefully. I cut the rear to size and it seems like no bleed will be needed.

I'm using some centerline rotors that I have. My understanding is that ice techs are real nice, but I've got these and will see how they work. Dumped more into this than I should have already.

This started out as a medium budget B+ hardtail loaner build. Not even my size. But got carried away. Should have some pics up later. A sneak peek:

Color looks pretty weird in picture but its called Berry pink.

Looks more like this. Berry pink is very pink...

Should I go with an older med cage XT or a newer long cage Acera?
Because of the color, I am leaning towards form over function. I think the grey/black will go better with this Berry Pink.
BTW, the PiP will be a 1x9 and it will have blue highlights here and there via qr, chainring, ferrules and etc. Will also have black Jamis decals.
