Shotguns might be too humane, people riding mud at 6mr so blatantly ought to be hanged, drawn and quartered.
True. Even for trails built with permission. They can be taken away in the blink of an eye (or in Morris County’s case, with a new person in charge :-( ). Continued education of our fellow riders, good relationships with land stewards, and respectful acknowledgement of other trial users (as in: say hi, ding your bell, stop to chat or compliment their pooch, etc), goes a LONG way to preserving our privilege.

Wait, what happened in Morris county?
It’s old news at this point but at Lew Mo a couple years ago they closed down a section of trail we had built in 2013 with the permission of the prior trail coordinator. A new coordinator came in in 2016 and closed it down because it wasn’t on the master plan from 2002 (!). The irony is they left open the eroded fall line trail that the 2013 trail was built to replace because that trail was on the 2002 master plan.

more of a procedural thing - one person much better at "follow the rules" one better at "remediating a bad situation" and would
eventually get the plan updated. unfortunate.
Look for a little more singletrack on the blue trail. Rough cut it in this am with the Billy Goat brush hog. Needs a ton more ground work and a bit more saw work. Should make a nice 2nd half of the section we cut last year. Feel free to head out there and rake it out if you are feeling ambitious.

Didn’t make it very far but it’s a start.
How were the conditions? Looking to go riding later this morning.
I didn’t ride a whole lot of dirt but what I was on was fine. The area I was at drains well (for 6MR) so it may not be a good sample.
