27.5 plus

When comparing plus bikes, look at CS length, rake and BB drop. The last, bottom bracket drop can be significant for north jersey trails. My fuse has drop of 58mm and crank hits are annoying. This Jamis has a drop of only 47mm, so better clearance but perhaps not as good with railing flow trail, which we don't have anyway.
Timberjack have the same BB drop as Fuse 58mm

Suspension and Ergons? Too front heavy bro!

Are those aluminum? I want to find myself a nice plus frame to build.

Here is option: http://www.rsdbikes.com/

Clearance on the 2016's. With the 35% off the Sergeant 27.5+ frame / headset / seatpost clamp including shipping was a no brain-er. Sliding drop outs, threaded bb, 140mm. Complete bikes are a good price too. I should have one finished up in about a week if you want to try it out. It has no pink parts doe. ;)

They have a cr0-mo 29+ (Big Chief) model too.

Does steel even make much of a difference in ride quality when you're running 3 inch tires?

I always looked for steel on a standard 26/29. For my 29+, could care less that it's aluminum. <15 PSI soaks up plenty of bumps.

I got my Timberjack today. Removed all reflectors and other plastic parts. To my surprise wheels are already set tubeless. Nice!

Did you acetone the logos off and then spray paint the frame black yet?
