I noticed that too, although the frame lacked any decals and it didn't show any sponsor affiliation in the results list. Could be any number of reasons: bike was lost during the flight; got broken during practice and a Trek was all he could scrounge up; maybe he'll be riding for Trek in 2018.
It was awesome to see him finish so well. When was the last time there were 3 Americans in the top 20?
Another shocker was Manon Carpenter's abrupt retirement leading up to this race. I knew something was up when she didn't race at MSA, but was shown as being there.
