100K On A Fat Bike

Another 100K on a fat bike is in the books. Yesterday 7 fat biker started 5 finished in 9 1/4 hours, 2 rode 56K.

Keep in mind that from 8.7 t0 32 miles, are in Greenwood forest. It is a WMA, and they hunt anything that walks or fly's. Mid Sept. to mid March. Just in case you were thinking about doing this in the cooler months. Changes for the second half, in the 2017 100K.

Got dates for 2017? Just got a fatbike and would like to try this. Did the 40 on a 29er a couple years back...

The 100K Fat Bike ride will be on June 24,2017. We will meet at the BTB office at 7am. As long as nothing goes wrong, it will be under 10 hours. A lunch stop will be half way. Some one will do 50K and we will use there car/truck to store lunch, water, anything else. If one would like to do this, one should be prepared for anything. We ride as a group, just like the Wharton 40 that you did. BTW, remember how long it took you to get out of your car after the 40? Just wait till you get home from this one.LOL
 
Can't make this week but I got to get on it and start getting some miles in! I do remember trying to get out of the car....this time I'll take an advil sandwich at the 1/2!

Rt.70 to Rt.72 About 6miles RR Trestle, turn left, road crosses over RR. Welcome to Bullock.

Missed a good ride today. Weather was great, trails were in good shape. 56.5K. The good news is the trails will be new to you. The better news is you didn't see any thing that would change your mind about riding on the 24th.
