1.5 tire on 1.25 rim for trainer?

Hey all! I'm trying to get back into biking after 2 motorcycle accidents and getting fat and old lol, but I recently got a rear wheel stand resistance trainer. It is GOD AWEFUL loud with my mountain tires on there, so I ordered a slick on amazon. I didn't relize until after that its 26x1.5, my rim is a 26x1.25 but I forgot since all my tube box's say 1.5 on them (not seeing that the tubes fit 1.25-1.5 and thats why they work).

Any idea if the tire I ordered will work? I can't seem to find a pure slick in 1.25 anywhere, just hybrids which I guess would work, but would still be louder then a dedicated slick trainer. if not I wont even open the amazon box and send it back without trying to get it to work and damaging it or the rim.

thanks all!
