Ringwood is about 30 minutes from Northvale and Blue about 45. Same as Wayway.

depending on what time of day it is, i can get to most northern NJ trails really fast .. for example i got to mahlon in 40 minutes today .. that was a record .. the other day 5am, i got to allamuchy in 50 minutes.

the more local roads i have to take, the longer it takes, even if it's closer (i.e. lewis morris)

mileage, gas, tolls is a different story

Apparently it's the only legal biking trail in Harriman Park. The trail is very clearly marked, and although the above description says that the trail is "one-way", the trail markers are visible in either direction.
Like Sterling this year, Harriman may become much more bicycle friendly in the future... stay tuned for that, its a work in progress with NYS, and brother Vitti is working through that process now. But in fact, we're going to need some Park Rep advocates to be identified that can cover these areas. when and if (can't promise anything but it sounds like it will) be legal to ride more of these trails we'll need to have someone willing to liase with the Land Manager and hopefully organize trail work here. Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty NY'ers!

Just got back. Conditions were pretty good...ground was obviously frozen, with a couple of spots covered with ice. Some sections with a thin layer of snow, but lots of areas that were uncovered and clean. Only one section on the back straightaway that was so icy and no easy line to find that we had to get off the bike and walk it thru (only about 20ft).

Didn't see any other tire tracks thru the trails, so I assume we (me and a friend) were the only bikers out there today. Did come across a group of hikers....
