Do you ever think about moving out of state?

Nothing political about it. You get the live in a state where you like the laws and I got to move to a state where I like the laws. Worked out great for the both of us

Do you ever think about moving out of state?

Well, sticking to gun laws...it takes much longer than a month to get a pistol permit which is only good for 90 days and one gun. Plus now, 10 round limits for mags, can't carry, can't stop on the way to or home from the range with a handgun, no hollowpoints, the AWB.

Do you ever think about moving out of state?

True, but you will never escape the taxes, cost and laws. There are beautiful parts of NJ. But there are equally as beautiful states that don't have the negatives all parts of NJ has Another interesting but not surprising thing we have found down here is people are not nearly as welcoming if...

Do you ever think about moving out of state?

Everything is better outside of NJ. Lower cost of living, less taxes, better roads, no horrible smell, nicer people. No crazy laws. The wife took a transfer to VA for 18 months, but we would have to come back to NJ when it was over. An opportunity came up to move to SC before the 18 months...

Post Your KOM or Your Bragging Right here

https://www.strava.com/segments/12055201 This one is my favorite. I was just getting on the segment, I passed the guy who had just taken the KOM as he was leaving the segment. Plus I was on a fat bike Second favorite is this one since there have been 4700 attempts, some guy recently tied me...

    This is supposed to be....

not unless you are doing a lot of slow, trials type riding. I have had everything from DT 18T to Hope, i9s and Onyx racing. Not once did low engagement cause me not to be able clear an obstacle.

    This is supposed to be....

    You don't need to whole pack. 1 card = 54t, 2 cards = i9s no cards= onyx racing

    This is supposed to be....

$100 to make your bike louder. You could have just put a playing card in the spokes for free

    Winter gear must haves?

The 4cycling pants/Lambda jacket work great. I'm 6'-1" and wear 3xl. Normally wear Large tall or XL stuff. If you want cold weather gear on the cheap that is almost as good as the expensive stuff, then this stuff is perfect. The only issue with it is really for riding when it is colder...

    I tried flat pedals yesterday

The xpedo sprys are great pedals for the money.

    I tried flat pedals yesterday

I think the new found enthusiasm for flats is that people are no longer shamed in to thinking they need to ride clips to be thought of as a proficient rider.

    I tried flat pedals yesterday

I have 5.10 also. I like the adidas a lot more. They do flex more, but I feel like I can get a better feel of the pedal than with my 5.10, which feel clunky and numb. When I ride spd, I like stiff shoes since the pedal is so small, but not with flats

    I tried flat pedals yesterday

I use Adidas Terrex solo stealth shoes. They have the same soles as 5.10 (adidas now owns 5.10) They work great but don't have the skater look. https://www.adidasoutdoor.com/terrex-solo-hiking-shoe/IUV83.html

    I tried flat pedals yesterday

It takes a while to get used to flats and learn the proper technique. First time I tried them, I hated them. But decide to stick with them for a month to see if I could make them work. And now I think they are great.

IS THERE ANY MTB RIDING IN STATEN ISLAND???

A lot of wolfe pond is rooty, so a CX bike wouldn't be the best. The greenbelt doesn't officially allow biking. I don't think any of the trail signs say that its banned, so people don't know. I've done a lot of "hiking" there and the trails are good, 35 miles worth

    Fit and Handling advise needed.

If you are running wide in the turns, make sure you are weighting the outside pedal, turn your hips into the corner and lead with you head. Look where you want to go. When I demo'ed a 429T. I found it needed to be ridden aggressively to get the most out of it. It did not do well trying to...

    Need some newer bike recomendations

I think a demo is important. If I had purchased a 429T based on the size they recommend without a demo, I would not have been happy with the bike. I was fighting the bike everywhere. Would it still ride all the trails I wanted, sure. But it annoyed the shit out of me while do it. The bike...

    Need some newer bike recomendations

No issue with uphill twisties, front track straight and true, I had some PRs on a twisty uphill and I wasn't pushing hard, but I really haven't on any of my bikes. I think my rigid fat bike would be fastest here, just because I can stand and hammer and not waste any energy, its pretty smooth...

    Need some newer bike recomendations

So I have a few rides on the Django and so far I am very happy with it. I felt very comfortable on the bike right from the start. Didn't have to fight with it at all to get it to do what I wanted. Corners awesome, took a couple of turns to realize that it takes a lot less effort to turn in...
