    Atsion Ranger Lot...

Just a heads up...if the Batsto lot fills up, there is plenty of parking at the Atsion lot...I rode one of my usual routes from Atsion to Carranza, then Batsto and back on my Fat bike, and other than the 6 cars in the lot, and 4 or 5 jeeps on Quaker Bridge Road, had the place mostly to myself...

After smothering myself with 40% deet, then riding the orange trail...no ticks, BUT....damn Chiggers! I swear I pretty much bathed in bug spray, but the damn things found their way into my shoes! Think we should request an airstrike on the entire area with napalm to get rid of them for good!

Yes, there are Coyotes out there, they are usually pretty elusive when it comes to people tho. By "pink" trail, are you referring to the Batona? If so, it's off limits to bikes (foot traffic only). I usually ride from the Atsion ranger station, past Quacker bridge, and pick up the orange trail...

WSF JORBA Trail Work and Rides

Kurt, if you can, please shoot me an email to let me know when the next trail maintenance is/will be...(I'm not always on here, and was totally unaware if the last one). I'm heading out there to ride the orange now, and will tidy up a few spots that I know are in need....

Monday(28th)..Rode in from Atsion, did the Orange Trail Loop, before heading back...alot of the Orange is getting overgrown(except the fire burned areas). It's rideable, but I definitely recommend bug spray(and lots of it)! Going to try and do a little trimming every Sunday when, and where I can....

You can always ride the double track...(I usually ride it when the trails are wet). You can get a ton of miles in, explore the pines, and see some different scenery...

I didn't mean to bash anyone here.... Maybe I shouldn't call them "morons"... But when you're nearly run over 3 times within a half mile by bikes going excessively fast (well over the safe speed limit) you tend to get a little upset. I think that these ruts were not made during any competition...
