    Rattling MTB Marathon '24 (was '23) - M.A.S.S.

Not me but I probably saw that guy as well. I was in a plain grey jersey. At some point I asked if you wanted to get by, you said "not really" and I said " well you're going to regardless" and moved out of the way. The rocky tech stuff looked cool to ride on a normal outing but there were a...

    Rattling MTB Marathon '24 (was '23) - M.A.S.S.

Yeah that's pretty accurate 😂 Didn't exactly have a chance to do introductions but think I was passed by @Norm a couple of times and followed @Stef for a bit before I completely blew up. Felt pretty bad all day for whatever reason but was pacing around where I'd hoped, then the wheels came...

Do we have any more independent record stores?

There is this place, which I noticed the other day. Looks tiny and can't vouch for it but it does exist. https://www.facebook.com/p/Penny-Lane-of-Chester-NJ-100064680550066/

    Rattling MTB Marathon '24 (was '23) - M.A.S.S.

I'll (almost certainly) be there. I was doing a decent job preparing, but have been battling some kind of cold/sinus infection type thing for the past week so just hoping for a non-embarrassing showing. Looking forward to checking it out, everyone seems to be such a fan of this race.

    Sub 6 minute mile?

Yeah, now I'm kind of curious as well. Not sure if I really want to try to train this, but could be interesting.

    Sub 6 minute mile?

That's a great (and challenging!) goal. Hope that you update us on progress. Two data points here. Every few years, I decide that I should be able to do some amount of running as a semi-athletic person who grew up playing soccer etc. Every time I ease into it, try to be super conservative...

    Science is looking up

Lots of cloud cover at exactly the wrong time but did manage a few very ominous looking phone pictures.

    Stephens State Park Conditions

Good amount of stuff down at Stephens today (as expected). Did my best to overlay these on a map. Noted stuff on Green, towards the beginning of lower Maze where it connects with Pink, and Blue Rock. Green also has a minor lake in the middle of the trail now.

    What color tint for sunglasses?

I picked up a pair of Oakleys with the trail torch lenses and I'm really impressed. It seems like the regular trail is potentially a better choice for the east coast but, at least for me, they are actually helpful in making it easier to see trail detail while still cutting down on the brightness...

    Earthquake????

Thanks, really appreciate it. I picked up some bottled water so I'm good for now, but you never really appreciate those simple conveniences until they're gone.

    Earthquake????

Yeah, I'm right in between the road closures on either side and currently do not have running water. Just waiting for it to get dark enough that I can more easily pee in my yard undetected. Summing up this week, crazy wind and rain, I lost power for a while Wed night. Earthquake today. Lose...

    Earthquake????

I'm not too far from you, but I'm in the office today. You're convincing me that I should try to run home.

    3D Printing Bike Parts/Accessories

Don't disagree. Bambu has a PVA support that's water soluble but it's only shown as compatible with PLA/PETG prints. It's also new enough that I haven't seen reports of anyone using it with other materials. Seems like there are some potential workarounds but as indicated above, all of this can...

    3D Printing Bike Parts/Accessories

I picked up a Bambu P1S a few months ago and I've been playing around with parts for a variety of different things. Haven't delved (yet) into any of the more exotic plastics that you'd want to use for something like a Garmin mount but it is an enclosed unit that's capable of printing most of...

    What are you watching now?

Have you seen any of his previous films? I remember watching "The Lobster" a while back and that's also super weird. Will get around to Poor Things at some point. One of my best friends from high school directed "Immaculate", starting Sydney Sweeney, which is in theaters now...

Things that make you frown :(

Feels like the glue just dried on the last windshield replacement and I have another large rock chip and crack. Did my best to stay as far away as possible from the one dump truck ahead of me on 80 and somehow it still got me.

    Car-spotting thread

Anyone on here ever driven one? I have less than zero desire to own one, but I'd assume that they are a lot of fun?
