Does anyone know for sure if the Surly ring works on a 1x9 setup? My Salsa ring is wearing quickly & I'd like to replace it with something that'll last longer. I've read on mtbr that the Surly is too thick to work with a 9sp chain. Thanks.

I like it. My Black Licorice Jet held up well, but the cable rub & few chips it had were pretty noticeable. I figure if I chip the clearcoat on the raw, I'll steal some of my wife's nail polish & fix it right up.
