  • Sun. Oct 29 Mountain Man Biathlon @Lewis Morris http://www.mountainman.org/
CODE: NUTDAY for $10 off race forum registration until Oct 22 (I don't think this works with bikereg)
*** Notes about the Bike/Beer Ride:
Make sure you have a backpack or panniers if you plan on buying anything to take home. Bring lights and reflective gear in case it's a long day.
Also, there is often but not always a designated driver. Please arrange for a ride in case you consume too much. DON'T BE *THAT* GUY!

We’ll install the final connection from the bog-bridge walk to the existing trail on Lazy Hill Road. Once that’s done, we’ll be able to remove all the blazes from the road walk on Laroe Road and celebrate having a trail section safely on preserved woodland. All the tireless work of land advocates and conservationists and trail volunteers will have come to full fruition, so let’s go make this happen.

The first date, October 21 will be a light work day, clipping a corridor, painting blazes and raking a path clear to see the tread beneath

October 22 we will begin tread-work where needed, including any side-hill construction and rock-moving where necessary

October 28 and October 29 will continue the work to completion.

Afterward, we’ll celebrate the new trail with a toast to one of our late volunteers on this trail, and to all of the persons who participated and made this a success.

If you would like to participate, please click on any (or all) of the above dates to sign up, so we know to expect you and can have sufficient tools and supplies ready.

Looking forward to seeing you on the new trail in this gorgeous fall weather. Bring your best buddies!
