@C8N I'm planning to go, otherwise I'll end up drinking too many beers tonight.
If I wake up and it looks like crap (6am) we'll call if off

what time do you have the leave the park? I can try for 7am, but isn't sunrise now about 7:10
Cool.
I have to be home by 11:30 so if we can wrap it by 10:30, I should be ok.

Make sure you guys enter from Boulevard/Powerville Rd on the Boonton side. There is a parking lot on the Denville side if you enter from Norris Rd, but you can't drive through the park on McCaffrey Ln. They have it blocked off.
Thanks Jim, I'm planning to get there from 287, so will be the Powerville side (east)

@C8N, 7am it is and back to lot at 10:30
anyone else looking for a beginner pace dawn patrol?
probably will do two loops, maybe 3

lights may be needed for first hour or so

Way too early for me.

Hope the rain stays away so you can ride, although the Tourne probably handles rain fairly well, except for White, the Ogden Trail.

Sorry Walt... but i think i need to bail on this one. My knee is actually feeling kinda f'ed up. Was limping on my walk home tonight and had a bit of a difficult time getting up the stairs.

I've got some time constraints on Saturday, if anyone is interested, I'll be at CR at 7am and will do Red, Orange, Yellow then meet up with the group ride at the ball fields at 9am.
You can follow me back to the Newman lot or stay with the group, but I need to get back to the lot by 10am. post up if interested. No High-Tech sections so, beginner friendly.

Regarding the Nov. 11 date for Wildcat, it should be mentioned that Sunday, Nov. 12 is the next ride in the MtbNJ group ride series and it is at Wildcat. It will be a great opportunity to get a proper tour, probably starting from the Bat cave.

Lol at these beginner parks.
I'm sure Walter is thinking more in terms of pace... beginner friendly pace rides rather than beginner friendly parks.
If you ask me.... outside of Saddle River, no park is beginner friendly lol

I remember dying at 6mr last year lol

I’ve never been to that park... the only two parks I’ve rode are 6 mile run and Rutgers Ecological Preserve which are the closest one to my house since I live in New Brunswick.
