What beer are you drinking RIGHT NOW?

I don't taste bitter, just different hop notes and flavors. But I also like sour beers so bitter is a plus for me. On the flip side I can't get past the malt in most beers and IPAs I used to drink.

the light bitter is balanced with a sweet caramel. much different than many.

other balancing acts are pulled off with citra hops. that produces a citrus flavor - could be lemon, grapefruit, or other.
this is done without adding the fruit, although many are "enhanced"

the purely bitter ipa is losing favor to these more complex and balanced brews. There was a discussion about them
really being "beer" anymore.

it may be an acquired taste, but i've moved away from things(food/snacks/drinks) that are sweet - so the bitter is never that bad.

I'm with you, I perceive bitter very strongly and don't enjoy beers with high IBU ratings so basically avoid them.

Always interesting how different ppl's palates are.

So sadly @Jimmy could not attend again tonight. His Ebola has advanced to full blown polio.

In lieu of live footage, here's a pic from one of our last sessions.


So with a no-Jimmy Tuezday, I was trying to figure how to play it.
Plans changed about 6 times in 20 minutes, and frustration set in not being able to get a damn Citibike.

I called an audible: field trip!
Where better than Mecca, amirite?


So I trekked to the nearest Citibike and started my journey.

The longest journey starts with a single pedal stroke (and ends with beer).

Note the post-it cue sheet.
I made it myself!


They had some stuffs on tap.


I was able to answer the question: How many howlers can I fit in my briefcase?

DDH Stacks and DDH space diamonds-
Hopefully jimmy will be on the mend in time to crack these.


In the meantime, let's not let this go bad:

Yup, I have all but given up on getting cans these days. Maybe in a few months when my wife has stuff going on on saturdays.
Otherwise, its growlers for me...
Got the howlers today because a growler is a commitment.

Just go in sometime Sunday afternoon.
