I follow this contest as it inspires me to ride all winter. Ringwood was perfect this morning.

Bonus for this week, thanks to @oobaa47 for the suggestion.

Week 5: 01/16/2017 to 01/22/2017 - Post up some cool street art.

Ok, back on the bike.

Saturday Watch Wheelmen 50 miles, 3:18 minutes, SS

Sunday Solo Frenchtown/Princeton ride 120 miles, 8:04 minutes, SS

Great weather for a long ride, but started late as it looked icy and glad I did.

Descending Mountain Grove and down Hoffmans crossing was super sketchy.

The ride down Rt 29 along the river was perfect grabbed pizza in lambertville and strangely enough Rt 518 to Princeton was the worst part of the day. The road was clear but the shoulder was a sheet of black ice for miles. Cars wanted me further over but not possible.

Good stuff.

So this is my first post in the last 2 weeks. First week off was to prep for my ski trip (not ride and get hurt) and the second was for the actual trip. The cold up in Canada made me feel like a little bitch for whining about +16 degrees here...was still 32 degrees warmer than in Canada. So my first ride after my trip was slow due to a slight ankle injury I suffered during a ski boot removal....don't want to discuss that. ;)

Didn't get out much during last week, but was able to sneak out on the weekend.

1/14/17: Played around in Allamuchy for a few hours. With the exception of some frost heaving, the trails were in great shape. The trails were quite dry.

1/15/17: Volunteered to help lead a group of outta towners throughout Stephens. A couple of city folk joined in on the snowy fun. Conditions were absolutely perfect. Dropped the air pressure down a bit and was able to get around quite easily.

My Anthem has been in the shop for a week and a half and I have been jones'n to ride trails. I've been taking the weekends off from riding and since I had today off from work, I went out in the garage and tuned up the old hard tail and decided to ride it to the Rancocas Creek trails and do some exploring. The place is pretty fun. I can see myself taking the kids there.

On the way back, I stopped by Crystal Lake to do a quick loop.

All the trails were in really good shape... I'd rate their conditions a 3.5.
