Is there a way to convert the hexhead through axle to a quick release? Reason being I like to keep my bike in my car. Only way I can do this is the take front wheel off.

I here ya, it's just, you give up so much stiffness with the QR; there had to be a happy medium.
The DT Swiss thru axel works great (no tools) and you can get the wheel off in 5sec. Might be worth looking in to.

I want a thru axle but a lever lock like my superfly ss has , not a true qr just not a hex head
