Who likes to smoke their meat?

There will be some traditional prep lamb chops (rosemary, thyme, garlic) and some steaks (morel powder, dried chipotle powder) on the BGE this weekend. Sliced my finger when a glass broke on me yesterday, so trip to Killington got messed up, thus there will be meat in my immediate future.

    Going Long and Hard.

BTW - forgot how much I miss your writing style; great story as always. Now 'splain me the no front brake thing so I don't have to go back 93 pages to see where the decision was taken bike a bike wrench to use a skid brake instead of a stopping brake on ice paths. Thanks.

    Going Long and Hard.

Hey Jim - I'm really proud of you! That took some big coconuts to attempt and well, to podium; I'm almost teary-eyed to see that. Congratulations! All the best, Ted

Cyclocross spring/ summer league would be fun

We had to do a "cross cat" as the qualifier for SSCXWC in 2010 in Seattle. Freaking hoot that was. Not for the timid though given the homeless path and the "find your way through the train/freight yard without any markings. Good times.

Congratulations! Let me know where he will be; I know some folks around the way and in some places.

The Wonderful World of Road Bike Tires

This. Rubinos simply work. Rotate your front and rear tire every 500mi and DO NOT, repeat, DO NOT use the rear tire on a trainer or rollers. That is all.

    Mountain, Cross and Shuffleboard Nats

And yes, the spider is a little freaky. I won't say kill it, but a forced relocation may be useful.

    Mountain, Cross and Shuffleboard Nats

Congratulations Ellen! (And Art!). I'm not sure how your partial move will impact the petition to have Ringwood Park named after you both for the obscene amount of work you both have led, and done, there. Buddy of mine went to grad school there, and all MTB rides were done before 6am.....

Did you go to your high school reunion?

Have very good friends from HS, and a lot of people went on to do very interesting things, so I try to always go (25th was in 2012). Not sure if I went to my town HS if I would feel the same, but the Prep was a great place. Just having met some of my nephews classmates at his graduation party...

    Rear Derailleur for 1x10 setup?

A little down time and some cx talk is all I really need!

    Rear Derailleur for 1x10 setup?

To be clear, a 2x clutch derailleur. Cx1 will not work with doubles given the pulley design and MTB clutch derailleurs lack a barrel adjuster and shift harder going into to lower gears given they are designed for more teeth. The MTB ones work with an inline adjuster, but a road, 2x clutch...

    Post Your 'Cross Bike

Nice ride Mike. Two comments: your front brake cable should run down the inside so it doesn't get damaged/severed in a crash and render you brake less. Second, if happy with saddle height, you may want to experiment with dropping the handlebar to get a bit more weight over the front end. This is...

    Rear Derailleur for 1x10 setup?

Also write to sram and request that they produce a clutch-road derailleur for cx like I did. We need a ground swell of grassroots support! I had some struggles with an x9 rd on my cx bike with Force shifters. Maybe I did something wrong, but it simply didn't shift as smooth as it should. Clutch...

    eBay Feedback For Counterfeit Item?

Or you could report to eBay that someone is selling counterfeit goods in the US, who respects intellectual property rights or companies like Rapha. You could also forward the link to Rapha and let them adjudicate.

    Kush's semi-training thread

So you quit the place you took public? Lots of changes for you and you still train a ton more than me. Damn, I'm impressed. Good luck in Cali!
