Went out there on Saturday. I entered in from Canal Rd. But first, with all the detours, I parked in the lot on BlackMills Rd. I jumped on what I thought was the Blue Trail. After a couple of hundred feet, I realized I was on that lousy tow path. Which I rode tons of times back in the day.
Anyway, after I got my bearings straight, I rode my bike around the corner to the lot I should have parked, on Canal. I guess that Blackmills Rd. lot could be a good overflow parking lot cause Canal was packed.
What a blast!!! I just did an out and back to S. Middlebush, then returned to the trailhead at Canal. Didn't know what to expect once I crossed S. Middlebush. And I didn't want to ruin what was until that time a great, fun ride. I took it slow not really knowing what u guys consider good trail conditions out there. The trails were a little damp and slick. But nothing compare to what it was like the previous week. I did come up to a mud puddle a little fast and went down it that nice, red mud.
Kudos to the trail maint. team.
I'll be back and do more exploring.
