Day 31: anything but grand finale
Put it in the books! Congrats to even who made it!
Legs felt like total crap today, a few days off will be nice. Hoping to carry this momentum into some longer rides, need to get my century prep underway.
Underwhelming photo to go with my underwhelming finish

Day 27 - 6MR - loving that new super speedy section by the jacques lot.
Day 26 - Chimney rock to check out that new workstation. Really neat.
1. I need more shorts that are on the tighter side, i ended up wearing the same shorts for at least half this challenge. (many different chamois)
2. I find it amazing that I started this challenge barely knowing the local paths. Now at the end, I know how to get to places that seemed so far away, I have loops for whatever mood i'm in or time of day.
3. I should have looked at my diet more closely, although i'm pretty happy with 8 lbs down.
Enjoy your last ride if you haven't had it yet and congrats.
Great observations .....Grasshopper.31/31 was nothing special as it was my usual after work loop at Hartshorne. I actually felt pretty fresh so towards the end I figured I give it some above average effort and PR'd a nasty climb.

I learned a lot from this challenge.
1. It's not really that unrealistic to find an hour per day.
2. I have a newfound respect for "roadies." I don't own a road bike but ended up doing several "road" rides on my hardtail during the course of this challenge. It's not as easy or as boring as I previously thought.
3. I learned to open up my eyes and enjoy my surroundings. There is way more to riding a bike than burning calories, or getting a PR, or whatever tends to grab my focus. One of the best parts of cycling is the experience.
4. Places are not as far away as I thought they were.
What can I say? I'm a master of the obvious.Great observations .....Grasshopper.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to have a beer and take the next few days off. Maybe.
