I had no agenda beyond a lazy hour touring around and ended up on a well hidden dirt road into the back of some sort of park or preserve.

Day 11 - Local Scotch Plains / Westfield / Cranford / Mountainside ride to recover from yesterday’s Chimney Rock debacle. Touched on the Shhhhhh Westfield trails and stopped at Hilltop bikes in Cranford for a much needed Halo Sweatband. Hit the pool when I got home, showered and trained into NYC to watch the disappointing England loss at the Irish American Pub in the financial district. Home now conducting evening Squirrel Patrol with the Pupparoo and a cool beverage.

11/31 - CR (1/3 done!).
Short on time so rode The Rock. Hit yellow & orange for change. Haven't been over there in a while.
Why do I only go to CR when I have little time? There's so much there for a longer ride.

Day 11 we rode close to home for 1:13 at the park and on the river trail and finished just before dark. Still at it. One day we'll ride with enough light to get a decent pic. So bummed I forgot it was free slurpee day... d'oh!!

July 12 - mostly a light spin until I realized I had "banked" some time, so decided to get a moderate effort interval near the end.

So I'm out. I spent all night in the ER, unable to breathe with only minimal improvement. Fourth time this year. So I'm not going to be riding again anytime soon. Yea.

Yeah, fourth time on Prednisone since January. At this point, I'd take bleach tablets if they told me it would calm the coughing down enough to let me sleep. I think I"ve slept about three hours in the past four days. Every time I lay down, my breathing gets so labored that I feel like I'm drowning. I thought this was caused by the cold weather earlier this year, but now I have no idea what's going on.

Jeez, sorry Marty. :(

Have they done any tests to check for bacteria or fungus in the lungs and associated tubes? Something has to be weakening the bronchial tubes causing them to narrow, if it’s not that it’s got to be some sort of allergic reaction..food, dust, deodorant (don’t laugh, chemical absorbtion through the skin is real). This really sucks.

Yeah, thanks for the thought - I have an appt with a specialist coming up and I'll ask for some more tests. I’m thinking I’m having an allergic reaction to something that’s making what was a relatively mild asthma into something much worse.

On another note, I think one of the worst parts is how jittery the nebulizer treatments make me feel - my hands are still shaking three hours after I was discharged.

Having had suffered 20 years of asthma treatments... I can attest to the effects of vaso specific dilators. Pumping amphetamines directly into your bloodstream (via the lungs) wreaks havoc on the system.
